Bay Area Watersports (B.A.W.S.) BAWS opened the new MasterCraft dealership on June 3, 2003 in Land O Lakes, Florida- approximately 20 miles north of downtown Tampa. The new dealership will carry both new and used boats, marine parts and waterski equipment (Connelly Water Skis and CWB Wakeboards). In addition, BAWS will feature the area's only "fully authorized" MasterCraft and Indmar service facility at its new location at 4608 Land O Lakes Blvd., Land O Lakes, FL..

United States. According to Rob May, Director of Marketing, "BAWS" principal owners bring a wealth of marine industry, waterski and business experience to MasterCraft's family of dealers".
The ownership team includes James Kranendonk, Chuck Alleger, Dean Witmer, Brian Jackson and Mark Jackson. Mr. Kranendonk and Mr. Alleger will oversee sales and service respectively, having more than 50 years of combined marine and water ski experience. Mr. Kranendonk has skied and driven for numerous amateur and professional water ski shows throughout the USA. Chuck Alleger is one of Tampa Bay's most respected inboard marine mechanics, and one of a handful of "fully certified" MasterCraft mechanics in the state of Florida. Mr. Alleger, also a avid water-skier, trained and coached several members for the the U.S. Barefoot Water Ski Team, including his son Chip Alleger. a former world record holder. Mr. Witmer, a resident of New York is a certified U.S. Coast Guard Captain, brings more than 30 years of marine industry experience to the team. Brian Jackson has been a professional show skier and stunt driver for more than 35 years with Tommy Bartlett's Ski, Sky and Stage Shows and Cypress Gardens. He presently owns one of central Florida's most successful commercial construction firms, Ed Taylor Construction South Inc.- Tampa FL. Mark Jackson, also a professional show skier, was formally MasterCraft's Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing for USA Waterski and is presently owner of Visibility Sports Marketing. Mark is also a former Pro Tour competitor, a member of the Wisconsin Water Ski Hall of Fame and color commentator for ESPN, Outdoor Life Network, Sunshine Network and various syndicated sports shows.
